    • EMI /RFI Filter

      • EMI / RFI filter

The purpose of the RFI/EMI filter is to filter out high-frequency noise currents (conducted RFI or EMI) present on the power lines and signal lines.

This prevents these conducted noise currents from entering or exiting the filtered device, allowing the device to function smoothly without disrupting other connected equipment.

      • Construction and working principle of RFI/EMI Filter:

Generally, the RFI or EMI filters' design utilizes passive circuit elements such as capacitors, inductors, and in some cases resistors to attenuate both conducted and radiated RFI/EMI.

    • Fridge principle of operation

      • Principle of operation

Any mechanic knows the basic operation of a refrigerator by heart. However, here are a few features:

        • The cold airflow is moved through the insulated compartment of the refrigerator by means of a fan.
        • Any condensation dripping from the evaporator [1] when the cooling is not active runs through a hose to a shallow plastic collection tray located under the refrigerator.
        • In this tray is the return section of the cooling circuit, which is still warm. This heat is used to evaporate the condensate.
        • Therefore, when moving a refrigerator that has just been switched off, some water may occasionally run out from under this tray.

    • Shake/stir plant based milk

      • Introduction

Plant based milks - ALWAYS - shake before use! Plant based milks are indeed made from PLANT materials.

These milks always contain materials that are heavier than the water added to make the milk.

Consequently, gravity quickly causes sediment to form: the water separates from the plant material, causing the plant material to settle at the bottom of your carton or reservoir. Some plant milks are more "affected" by this than others. By getting into the habit of ALWAYS shaking all plant milks before use, you ensure the proper connection and thus the best chance of creating foam. So, shake a new carton well before use, then pour it into your plant based milk container and keep it well chilled in your refrigerator (3 degrees).

      • New feature from software V1.9.1 July 2026

To help you remember to shake/stir the milk well a shake/stir notification is added only when a plant based milk is activated in Latte+.

    • Fridge preventive maintenance

      • Any mechanic knows the basic operation of a refrigerator by heart.

      • Picture shows the rating plate fridge

        The next pages shows how to reach the;

        • The NTC is located at the output of the second heater at the top of the milk module (see picture).
        • Condition for the error: NTC measures a temperature below -20°C or higher than 200°C.
      • The Latte+ PC board is located on the opposite side of the flow heaters

        • Check the NTC connection J14 on PCB board, see next page for detailed information.
        • There is no possibility to readout the resistance/temperature of the NTC in de Hardware test.
        • Replace NTC if needed
        • Position NTC sensor [FTH2]
    • E203 conductivity sensor defective

      • Conductivity sensor defect

Just before the medium (water / milk /cleaner) enters the mixer the conductivity is measured by two probes suspended in the medium.

        • Condition for the error: Measured level < 100
        • The software recognizes the following mediums by means of the measured resistance: Water = 500 / Milk = 1300 / Cleaning agent = 2500
        • The conductivity sensors are located in the input of the mixer (see picture).
      • The conductivity sensor pins are located to the right of the Latte+ printed circuit board.

        • Check the wiring on the conductivity sensor pins, (see picture).
      • The Latte+ PC board is located on the opposite side of the flow heaters

        • Check the conductivity sensor connection J18 on PCB board, see next page for detailed information.
        • There is no possibility to readout the value of the conductivity sensor in de Hardware test.
        • Position conductivity sensor connection on the PC board.
    • E204 heating element 1 overheated

      • Flow heater [FTH1] overheat

During the milk preparation the medium temperature in the flow heater first in line is constantly monitored.

        • Condition for the error: Measured medium temperature in the flow heater [FTH1] higher than 95°C

        Possible cause:

        • Milk suction hose is not submerged in the milk.
        • Milk dispensing hose to Coffee machine outlet is blocked/kinked, causes an obstruction of the flow through the heating elements resulting in an undesirable temperature increase.

         Solution:

        • Check if the milk hose(s) are inside the milk
        • Check if the fridge/Latte+ is still in line with the Coffee machine.

      • Milk system wrong configured

        Possible cause:

When the Latte+ unit is prepare for use for one [1] milk only and the Software is configured for two [2] milk varieties. See link to check your settings.

        Solution:

Check how the Software is configured

        • One milk varieties = one hose (see picture)
        • Two milk varieties = two hoses

    • E205 heating element 2 overheated

      • Flow heater [FTH2] overheat

During the milk preparation the medium temperature in the flow heater second in line is constantly monitored.

        • Condition for the error: Measured medium temperature in the flow heater [FTH2] higher than 95°C

    • E206 heater element 1defective

      • Flow heater [FTH1] defect

No temperature increase detected by the NTC when the first flow-through heater (FTH1) is activated.

        • Error condition: No temperature rise is detected while FTH1 is active.
        • The first flow-through heater (FTH1) is located directly above the mixer (see image).
        • Check the resistance of the flow-through heater (approx. 30 Ω). If no resistance is measured, the heater is defective.
        • Check whether the temperature limiter (Klixon) has tripped. Reset it if necessary.
        • Check the 230V wiring not connected to the electronic board.
      • Condition: No temperature change when FTH1 active

        Blocking: No

        Active: Always

        Remark: Heating disabled; recipe continues

    • E207 heater element 2 defective

      • Flow heater [FTH2] defect

No temperature increase detected by the NTC when the second flow-through heater (FTH2) is activated.

        • Error condition: No temperature rise is detected while FTH2 is active.
        • The first flow-through heater (FTH2) is the second heater directly above the mixer (see image).
        • Check the resistance of the flow-through heater (approx. 30 Ω). If no resistance is measured, the heater is defective.
